The ideal candidate is a highly skilled Training SME with knowledge gained over years of experience at senior levels. They promote greater information sharing for staff and stakeholders, providing realistic and reliable support with well-developed recommendations to various audiences in training and real-world events.
They will maintain the integrity of the training objectives and a knowledge base consistent with the requirements that cover the full spectrum of tasks listed in the contract.
SMEs serve as catalysts for developing and evaluating requirements, providing expertise and insight to support programs and leaders at all levels, including very senior levels in civilian and military sectors.
They are experienced subject matter experts in their fields of expertise.
This is a contingent position pending the award of a contract, meaning that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized.
The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements
- 6 years of General Resource Band experience in the following :
- Subject matter expert for respective task requirements (e.g., Academics, Warfare Area(s), Program or Policy support).
- Training specialist.
- Navy and / or Defense training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures.
- Conducting fleet analysis to identify gaps, training needs, and solutions.
- Developing and modifying training event / exercise scenarios.
- Developing training curriculums.
- Conducting fleet / joint training assessments to identify gaps, training needs, and solutions.
- Delivering training in person and / or online.
- Managing training projects.
- Designing custom training to meet training objectives.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Excellent time management skills.
Education Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an unspecified field of study.
- 8 years of experience is required if no degree is held.
- Equivalent to a degree is two additional years of Resource Band experience.
Personnel Clearance Level :
- Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued Top Secret security clearance. A TS / SCI is required for this position.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive) :
- Deliver and monitor on-site academic instruction for training audiences and provide MTT instruction for ships, groups, and staffs.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver instructional material supported by outlines, lesson plans, reference material, briefs, lectures, videos, scenarios, animations, handouts, student and instructor workbooks, and study guides, testing materials, critiques, and feedback designed to prepare the warfighter.
- Translate academic content, lessons learned, emerging doctrinal changes, and training and education requirements into usable training products and services.
- Research, analyze, and employ the best learning strategies and methods to train and sustain quality instructional staff.
- Develop and provide inputs for the development of course completion reports following the delivery of training.
- Provide recommendations to the Government regarding materials needed for a tactical reference library.
- Assess courseware, delivery methods, and new versions of applications to determine impact and functionality.
- Monitor applications development schedules and assess equipment requirements for future version releases.
- Provide input to TTGL schedules officer regarding annual scheduling of academic courses.
- Understand all principal combat mission areas and provide expertise in assigned combat mission area.
Salary Range : $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
