SAFe Product Owner

As a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner for a Randstad client in Washington, DC, you will play a pivotal role in delivering products and services by adhering to SAFe values, principles, and success patterns.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Architecture, to define, prioritize, and validate solutions under development.

Your expertise will ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs, driving product success. Responsibilities : Product Ownership : Serve as the primary contact for the product, defining, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog.

Vision and Strategy : Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals and customer needs.

Prioritization : Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility, focusing on high-priority items.

Requirements Gathering : Elicit and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams.

Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and development teams, to align with the product vision.

Agile Framework : Implement and champion the principles of the SAFe framework, ensuring adherence to agile methodologies.

Roadmap Development : Contribute to the product roadmap, outlining delivery schedules and milestones. Release Planning : Participate in release planning, prioritizing features, sprint planning, and coordinating cross-team dependencies.

Metrics and Analysis : Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify improvement areas.

Product Delivery : Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Minimum Qualifications : Typically, a minimum of 8+ years as an agile product owner, with a bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience;

an advanced degree with 5+ years of related experience is preferred. Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment.

Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies and the SAFe framework. Ability to prioritize and make data-driven decisions.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with tools such as Jira Software, Confluence, LucidCharts, Jira Align, and AgilityHealth.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : SAFe 6.0 Product Owner / Product Manager Certification. Preferred experience in e-commerce and marketing within transportation and hospitality, supporting various channels like websites, mobile applications, ticket counters, call centers, kiosks, and B2B partnerships.
