A reputable rural health hospital in Washington State is seeking a dedicated Director of Perioperative Services RN to manage and oversee the operations of their perioperative services.
This opening is with a reputable 25-bed Critical Access Hospital has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the country by The Joint Commission, which has awarded it the Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation.
The role of Director of Surgical Services RN involves overseeing the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of the department's finances, including both capital and operational budgets.
Additionally, it requires creating a strategic department plan that aligns with the organization's overall strategic plan.
Ensuring the daily operations of the department are conducted safely, respectfully, and progressively is also essential, which includes managing surgical processes, policies and procedures, and education.
The role also entails leading and mentoring the quality process in surgical services and fostering shared governance within the department.
Lastly, ensuring regulatory compliance is a critical responsibility.
The Director of Perioperative Services will oversee 3 operating rooms, 4 including the OR in the Family Birth Center, the PACU, Endoscopy Services, and more.
This Perioperative Services Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and will manage 24 FTEs consisting of operating room registered nurses, anesthesiologists, techs, and other healthcare professionals.
The ideal Director of Perioperative Services will have a bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent experience and an RN License, with at least 4+ years of leadership experience in perioperative services coupled with leadership experience.
