This role not only involves strategic procurement but also managing a team of buyers, making it an excellent opportunity for a leader with a strong background in software and services acquisition.
Projects You’ll Work On :
- Lead and execute the end-to-end procurement process for high-value contracts, focusing on IT, EdTech, and SaaS.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring value for money and reducing risk.
- Oversee the negotiation of terms and pricing with vendors, ensuring the best outcomes for the business.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and vendors, providing guidance through the bidding and tendering process.
- Contribute to the development of procurement policies and help educate teams on best practices and tools.
- Supervise a team of buyers, driving performance, mentoring, and supporting their professional growth.
What Experience You Should Bring :
- 7+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- A strong background in negotiating complex contracts, particularly within IT and software services.
- Expertise in leading procurement activities, from forecasting business needs to managing vendor relations.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, building partnerships with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Experience with competitive bidding processes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with procurement systems such as Zycus or similar ERP tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
