The Software Quality Analyst validates journal transactions that the application produces against standard accounting principles.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Performing a complete quality control cycle on each release of the clients accounting applications against a given set of requirements as part of the quality assurance team
- Maintaining accurate audit trail of defects and resolutions
- Designing and documenting test cases based on accounting principles
- Providing input about software functionality gaps to assist with software release planning and delivery
- Working with the software development and client support teams on improving applications' functionality
Requirements
- Understanding of accounting concepts and proper journal entries
- Experience with testing requirements and analyzing processes related to accounting functions
- Working knowledge of software quality control / testing concepts, processes and tools
- Understanding and experience in testing of client / server, three-tier software and browser-based applications
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Business or Quality Assurance is required
- Working knowledge of T-SQL or PL / SQL is a plus
