Human Resources Partner

OverviewKimley-Horn is looking for two Human Resources Business Partners for our Central Region, based in our Dallas, TX, office! This employee relations focused role provides support to multiple offices throughout the region.

Additionally, this role will work with the firmwide HR team.ResponsibilitiesBuild strong relationships with internal client groups to be seen as an HR subject matter expert, advisor, and supportConsult with internal clients / partners and propose solutions in the areas of retention, employee relations support, performance management, terminations, teambuilding, complaint / conflict resolution, and career developmentPartner closely and collaborate with the regional HR team and provide guidance to HR Coordinators.

Conduct new hire orientations and lead the integration planning for new hires at all levelsManage leaves of absence, including FMLA and workers’ compensationDevelop and facilitate multiple training programs.

Manage special projects that have region-wide and / or company-wide impactServe on firmwide HR subcommittees to develop and / or improve effectiveness of processes, training, etc.

QualificationsBachelors (or Masters degree) in Human Resources or related field6 or more years of related experience including employee relations experienceDay travel within the DFW metroplex is required to support the needs of the region, approximately 20%;

overnight travel required occasionallyKnowledge of federal and state labor and employment lawProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS systemsStrong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication, presentation, and relationship buildingExcellent organization and follow-through skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervisionAbility and desire to work collaboratively with team members within the region, as well as across the firm, to meet goalsAbility to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent internal and external client servicePHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SCP strongly preferredWhy Kimley-Horn?
