Compensation : $130,000-$150,000 annual salary plus commission.

About the Role :
The Regional Sales Director is a strategic leader responsible for driving sales and managing operations within the assigned region.
This role requires a dynamic balance, focusing 70% on sales activities and 30% on operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a strong background in account management and a proven ability to exceed sales targets.
They will also possess the operational acumen to manage budgets, train and mentor staff, and ensure the overall productivity and growth of the company.
Overall Responsibilities :
- Direct account sales and manage assigned territories.
- Expand existing account volumes, acquire new accounts, and achieve or surpass established sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with accounts.
- Stay updated on market trends and account information.
- Gather information to identify opportunities and develop effective action plans and strategies.
- Sell the full line of products across all assigned trade categories.
- Mentor and coach staff, representative groups, and customer sales / service teams to ensure maximum productivity and company growth.
- Maintain effective communication and administration with peers, customers, and supervisors.
- Hire, train, and manage independent sales brokers when necessary.
- Assist in setting aggressive sales targets.
- Prepare detailed annual budgets and forecasts.
- Manage regional activities with a focus on profit and loss impact, capital conservation, and diligent expense management.
- Provide thorough and timely reporting through the appropriate chain of command.
- Maintain a successful track record in a business-to-business environment.
- Assist in the development, monitoring, and adherence to department budgets.
- Demonstrate strong sales aptitude and decision-making skills.
- Exhibit excellent verbal, communication, and organizational skills.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3+ years of experience with retail and wholesale accounts.
- Outside sales experience in paint, chemicals, and / or charcoal industries.
- Experience in hiring, training, and managing independent sales brokers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
