The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $65 million and a full-time staff of 400+.
We are currently seeking an Associate Director of Food Services to manage and direct all food service activities of their assigned kitchen including but not limited to, menu development, food procurement and preparation;
kitchen staff, and trainee supervision and training, while maintaining budget parameters.

The Ideal Candidate :
- You have a High School degree or equivalent
- You are a Chef or have related culinary training
- You have a minimum of five years’ experience in food preparation of varied areas including cooking, baking, salad, vegetables and soups.
- You have supervisory and food service training / education experience
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
Key Responsibilities :
- Assists in developing nutritionally balanced and quality menus, considering production abilities and budgeted guidelines.
- Trains and supervises assigned kitchen staff and trainees
- Directs kitchen and meal service operating procedures for food service staff and trainees
- Maintains regular communication with facility director and staff to ensure a flexible food service / training program designed to meet changing needs
- Assures budget compliance in all controllable areas, including food, supplies, staff and trainee overtime
- Prepares meals regularly.
- Assures compliance with State Health Department regulations.
- Prepares monthly reporting of activities and goals of the Food Service Department.
- Responsible for compliance with various filing and reporting, including payroll, purchasing, and other financial reporting.
- Maintains quality assurance systems in daily food service operations.
- Purchases food and supplies, and assures proper storage and rotation of products.
- Provides training for staff and trainees to ensure competency in food handling, equipment use, and service standards.
- Maintains updated policies and procedures for Food Service operations.
- Assures adequate planning for emergencies, staffing changes, and other non-routine events.
- Responds to any other demands as they relate to the assigned kitchen’s operation.
- Any other duties as requested assigned or needed.
