Summit Health, part of Village MD is seeking a Human Resources Business Associate to support our Bend, OR location. The HR Business Associate will provide functional guidance and seamless service to managers and employees.
This position will require the individual to demonstrate personal initiative, ownership and accountability to effectively provide HR support.
This role will partner with the HR Business Partner to execute programs and initiatives in talent acquisition, culture change, DEIB, employee engagement, performance management, talent management, employee relations, and organization development.
Key Responsibilities :
Generalist Support
- Provide onsite hands-on support to leaders and team members.
- Work with leadership and team members to drive employee engagement and effectively resolve workplace concerns, reinforce policies, and total rewards questions.
- Promote and implement HR Best Practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Manage the HR email inbox to respond to or escalate questions.
- Process change transactions in WorkDay; run reports and create tracking sheets as needed
- Support HR leadership with projects and support; provide team coverage as needed
Employee Relations :
- Proactive and hands-on employee relations support, addressing concerns and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers consistent with policies / practices, legal considerations, and organizational priorities.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
Internal Partnership
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Compensation to support compensation practices in compliance with Oregon State Law.
- Partner with Leaves Admin COE to track current and upcoming LOAs.
- Partner with local Payroll, Benefits, Legal to respond to employee questions.
Performance Management :
- Communicate and support effective performance management processes through leader support and partnership.
- Implement resources, tools, and training opportunities for leaders to manage performance and drive continuous improvement among team members and leaders.
Talent Acquisition and Talent Management :
- In conjunction with HRBP, TA, and DEIB leadership, implement strategies to ensure a high-performing and diverse workforce.
- Support HRBP to implement leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
- Support onsite and community hiring events.
- Coordinate and deliver onsite New Hire Orientation.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience.
- Strong knowledge of Oregon Equal Pay requirements.
- Experience in a rapidly growing and evolving company.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, high emotional intelligence, and an ability to communicate clearly and influence.
- Strong consultative skills, including relationship building, process skills, facilitation skills, and balance advocacy.
- Creative problem solver with a strong work ethic.
- Works collaboratively and effectively in a matrix driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, compliance, and HR best practices.
Location : Bend, OR (onsite 3-5 days week).
