Overview
This role involves directing and managing the entire production process from creative proposal to final delivery while maintaining excellent client relationships and developing strong teams. The Executive Producer maintains and expands relationships with our key customers. Assigned to high profile, complex corporate events with large revenue impact. The Executive Producer is responsible for leading overall planning, budgeting, and execution while achieving key strategic objectives. They will work in tandem with all internal departments to ensure the successful execution of their assigned event. Reports directly to the Associate Director or Director of Production.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee event production, providing overall pre-show planning and development through on-site execution at various facilities across the country.
- Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for the contractual period and beyond
- Strategic liaison with show organizer / agency partners, facility staff, production personnel, internal clients, and ancillary vendors regarding all services, building working partnerships with all
- Work cross-functionally and lead collaboratively with internal teams across LOBs (business development, operations, design / creative, and beyond) to manage event and address customer needs
- Develop and manage project timelines, agendas, and workflows with clients
- Proficient financial acumen including comprehensive budget management, time and materials billing, and estimating / quoting prices for complex products and services
- Meet or exceed financial plan goals on assigned event, closely coordinating with Finance team to ensure revenue and costs are identified and accurate
- Able to collaborate with internal key players across the country as well as produce in any region based on core job knowledge and experience
- Thorough understanding of GES products and services and ability to sustain influence on customer decision-making
- Manage to varying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Identify risks and opportunities and develop solid action plans to address
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
- Capable of creating and / or adapting processes for complex clients
- Achieve strategic customer objectives and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings - measured through Client Survey results
- Represent GES at industry association functions as needed (IAEE, PCMA, EDPA, etc)
- Proficient in all GES internal SOPs, processes, and platforms
- Mentor and train new team members
- Participate in client presentations as part of the RFP process
- Drive process improvement projects, either assigned or initiated
- Mentors and develops Producers, while overseeing all aspects of production related to event
- Serves as primary liaison and events representative for facilities, promoters, city and state agencies, internal and external stakeholders and community partners
- Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position under the direction of the Associate Director or the Director of Production.
