About the Role
The Sr. Procurement Analyst will be responsible for assigned commodities / components inventory, demand forecasts, communication with vendors, manufacturing and with customers, excess & obsolete inventory management, ensuring continuous supply availability to production.
The Sr. Procurement Analyst’s function is to support manufacturing with the optimal inventory levels as well as ensure continuity of supply and minimize any interruption to production at the lowest costs possible.
What You Will Do
Create and maintain purchase orders and all activity associated from quote to invoice
Work closely with warehouse and accounting personnel to avoid any inventory and invoice discrepancies
Manage and maintain proper business relationships with assigned suppliers
Maintains proper inventory levels on assigned commodities based on forecast requirement minimizing excess and aging inventory
Responsible for reviewing open orders with suppliers to resolve supplier related questions / issues
Maintains accurate control of purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices and other related documents for your assigned category components
Maintain and analyze existing inventory forecast models and related metrics
Work within identified KPIs such as past due purchase orders, purchase order accuracy, shortage and excess percentages
Analyze monthly spend and reports to manager
Identify and implement process improvements with manager to increase efficiency and accuracy within roles and responsibility parameters
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, or advanced degree with equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a buying or purchasing function with Supply Chain background (Computer Manufacturing or Electronic
Manufacturing industry preferred)
Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices
Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to communicate and interact with vendors effectively in a professional manner
Ability to effectively partner with cross functional internal teams, and with various organizational levels
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Analytical problem solving with an ability to multi-task
Experience in data analysis and reporting skills
Proactive, positive, deliberate, and focused thinking
Self-motivated
Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Experience with Tableaux (preferred but not required)
SAP Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication
Must be a good communicator and team player
Organized and able to meet deadlines and work in a fast pace environment
