Ardurra is seeking a Entry Level Engineer (EIT) to join our staff.
Primary Function
Performs detailed phases of design engineering work for a project of moderate size and complexity (e.g., assignment involving a single engineering discipline).
The incumbent must be fully competent in all conventional aspects of design engineering and be capable of planning and conducting tasks requiring independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Primary Duties
- Performs moderate analysis and design tasks involving design calculations and sketches of plans, layouts and typical sections
- Prepares portions of project documents and edits specifications.
- May coordinates with roadway design on schematics and reviews traffic control plans or traffic projects
- Performs research and investigations
- Reviews environmental documents
- Represents the company at various meetings and serves as a liaison with city, county and other governmental and private entities
- Performs duties on small projects or portions of larger projects at the same time
- Assist in prioritizing and scheduling projects, determining work requirements to complete project plans and coordinates scheduling to accommodate projects already underway
- Opportunity to develop broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements
- Education : BS or Masters in Civil, Environmental, or chemical engineering from ABET accredited university
- Experience : Entry Level
- License : EIT or preparing for FE
- Effective written and oral communication skills to interact and collaborate with others; will be reporting in-person to client site
