We are looking to hire a Canvass Office Director to lead and inspire our team as they work on exciting causes that benefit society (humanitarian aid, protecting our natural communities, empowering kids, etc.).
Farmer’s Consulting partners with non-profit organizations and charities to help them build awareness and reach their fundraising goals.
Our charity partners are fighting to end childhood hunger in America and worldwide, protect our environment, defend refugees, supply humanitarian aid to people stuck in conflict, and many other worthy causes.
As a Canvass Office Director, you must be able to be a strong fundraiser in the field. Additionally, you are required to communicate effectively, exhibit excellent management skills, and be proficient in training canvassing staff to unlock their potential.
Responsibilities include :
- Build and maintain site maps for canvassing teams and set weekly staff schedules to ensure sites are adequately staffed.
- Work alongside staff in the field 4 days per week to engage the public and inspire them to become monthly supporters. Directors are expected to meet and exceed minimum fundraising standards as well as train new team members on the job.
- Ensure staff maintain proficient knowledge of job responsibilities and the charity partner they are fundraising for.
- Hold staff accountable to performance standards, completing their scheduled shifts, and representing the charity partner in a professional manner.
- Effectively communicate with staff by responding in a timely, thorough, and professional manner.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends is required.
Preferred experience and skills :
- Experience canvassing, organizing, and fundraising, preferably in a leadership role.
- Understanding of how to effectively train others.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong task management and time management skills.
Schedule :
- 8 hour split shift to include a paid lunch.
- Admin day on Tuesdays, Remote.
- Tuesday - Saturday preferred.
- Saturday availability is a must.
- Split shifts.
Pay and benefits :
- $25 an hour guaranteed, 40 hour work week.
- Weekly uncapped fundraising bonuses.
- Health / Vision / Dental insurance after 90 days of employment.
