Global Defense Sector Strategy Communications Specialist

The Opportunity :

The Global Defense Sector (GDS) Strategy Communications Specialist will work with the GDS Strategy and Engagement team to develop and execute a change communications plan intended to bring the sector strategy to life.

This includes using change management and communications best practices to create executive briefings and develop content about the strategy for employees, customized for different audiences.

The strategy communications specialist will also identify creative opportunities to share examples of the strategy in action.

This role will serve as the coordinator of a team of strategic activators, including senior change champions within the Sector, managing engagement opportunities and developing key messaging for them to share with employees.

You Have :

5+ years of experience with communications or change management

5+ years of experience providing strategic communications support, including communications planning, presentations, talking points, fact sheets, and newsletters

Experience working with senior-level executives and clients to gather insights and share out information

Ability to be a self-starter, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, and navigate the grey areas of the role

Ability to translate information, develop insights, and generate work products to support a fast-paced workflow environment

Ability to independently draft communications with a diverse set of stakeholders from business and external organizations, including provide recommendations that will have a positive impact on the business

Ability to communicate complex strategic information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have :

Experience in supporting enterprise-wide change, including strategy development, stakeholder engagement, implementation planning, and communications

Experience in Change Management

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field preferred; Master's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field a plus

PROSCI, LaMarsh, or CMAP certification

Strategic communications, corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, content marketing, or change management certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
