- Ensure that invoices are accurate, complete, and comply with company policies and customer agreements.
Data Entry and Accuracy :
- Enter billing information into the accounting or billing system accurately.
- Verify and cross-check details such as product or service descriptions, quantities, and pricing.
Customer Communication :
- Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, and overdue payments.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns related to billing.
Payment Processing :
- Record and process customer payments, including checks, credit card payments, and electronic transfers.
- Reconcile payments received with the corresponding invoices.
Record Keeping and Documentation :
- Maintain organized and detailed records of customer transactions and billing activities.
- Ensure proper documentation of billing-related communications and resolutions.
Statement Generation :
- Generate and distribute periodic statements to customers.
- Include relevant details such as outstanding balances, due dates, and payment instructions.
