SALARY :
Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The average annual salary for the position is $58,000 .
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Together with other team members, conducts & maintains up-to-date background checks and fingerprinting for all employees, including interns and volunteer.
- Audit all personnel paperwork / transactions with a continuous improvement focus, and notify Director of HR Systems and Services of any discrepancies or possibility for changes that lead to greater efficiency.
- Ongoing collaboration with HR colleagues and non-HR stakeholders to collect feedback, improve and streamline processes.
Together with team members, will continue to build strong partnership with IS to ensure technology decisions and processes are aligned.
Maintain employee personnel files and filing systems (actives, terminations, I9’s, etc.), including, but not limited to creating new folders, filing employee paperwork, i.
e. personnel action forms (PAF), job descriptions, annual performance appraisals and ensuring files are complete and accurate prior to storing in file room and / or online data filing system.
- Conduct I9 internal audit ensuring compliance with Dept. of Homeland Security.
- Proactively prepare for, gather, and fulfill requests for program audits.
- Make suggestions to process and workflows leading to greater efficiency in the services provided.
- Create, run and analyze various reports and reporting data.
- Project participation as well as will lead small scale projects to accomplish larger tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Required 3+ years of relevant experience in HR, which includes audit and background experience as well as HR systems and process improvement
- Intermediate excel skills and data reporting and analytics experience
- Strong computer skills, including use of internet, Microsoft Office, Word PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with ability to problem solve, interpret and explain facts and data.
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate high level of accuracy; paying close attention to details
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to handles and maintain highly confidential information and use a high degree of independent judgement
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and / or weekends if needed.
- MFS staff are required to provide proof of vaccination or have an approved medical exemption prior to starting employment.
If an approved medical exemption is obtained, weekly testing may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
- The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
