The School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University invites individuals with a track record as practitioners in a policy-related field to apply for an appointment as a Professional Specialist, Resident Policy Advisor.

- Responsibilities*Present work to the SPIA community, Princeton University, media, and policy circles both in NJ and beyond;
- Conduct project / policy research on policy issues, including analyzing data, conducting interviews, and synthesizing information from a variety of sources;
- Participate in class discussions / visitors;*Write opinion pieces / media appearances;*Organize and participate in a periodic seminar for students, faculty and alum;
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policy issues within their field;*Organize and form the thematic debates by arranging high-level panels, roundtables, and seminars in their area of expertise;
- Participate in public panels;*Work with students in courses and in a co-curricular capacity on policy-relevant research and in making policy recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support faculty, students and staff in their thematic research and work.*Write grant and foundation proposals to support efforts of SPIA in NJ.
Essential Qualifications : *Senior executive with + years' experience in government, international development, regional cooperation, and stability operations.
- Excellent research and writing skills.*Extensive knowledge in a policy domain.*Knowledge of standard internet tools and HTML*Familiarity with standard law, political science, economics and / or sociology data sources, literature and analysis.
- The successful candidate must be well-organized, attentive to detail, and able to respond to deadlines in a timely manner.
Education required : Master's degree required in political science, international development, law and diplomacy, economics, or international relations.
