SIE is currently seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader for our Manhattan, Melville, or Elmsford Offices to lead bridge inspection projects for long span, roadway, and rail bridge inspection projects.
Responsibilities : Leads project, inspection teams and coordinates teams and equipment
Prepare in-office support for field inspections, such as development of inspection documentation forms prior to field work
Perform field inspection duties and subsequent inspection reports in compliance with Client Requirements
Client field liaison for field activities
Enforce safe field operations
Provides technical guidance to other staff members
Travel to required project location(s)
Qualification & Skills : Active New York and New Jersey PE License required
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
At least 3 years of recent bridge experience in inspection as a Team Leader
Current FHWA / NHI Bridge Inspection Training (2 Week Bridge Safety Training) and / or Refresher Course
OSHA 30
Physically capable of performing tasks associated with the position. Must be comfortable working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and various aerial lifts and access equipment
Familiarity with NYSDOT, TBTA, PANYNJ, NYCT, MNR, LIRR, and other NY and NJ agencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Microstation / AutoCAD skills
Driver's License
Expected salary range is $93,600 - $156,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
