Job Summary

The Plate Mounter is responsible for accurately mounting flexographic printing plates onto cylinders or sleeves according to specifications, ensuring precision for print registration and quality. This role plays a key part in minimizing downtime and ensuring that presses run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Review job orders and plate mounting specifications (e.g. plate type, size, orientation)
• Clean, inspect, and, if needed, make minor repairs to plates prior to mounting
• Apply mounting tape, align and mount plates on cylinders or sleeves with high precision
• Trim, proof, and perform quality control checks (registration, alignment, defects)
• Maintain and organize prepress / work area (plates, sleeves, tapes, etc.)
• Transport mounted plate assemblies to press staging area
• Clean mounting equipment, remove used plates, wash and dry plates as needed
• Record and report any defects, equipment issues, or discrepancies
• Adhere to safety, quality, and foodsafety / cleaning protocols if applicable

Schedule & Compensation

Training is on 1st shift Monday through Friday 6 : 30 a.m. to 2 : 30 p.m.
