POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides various cost accounting functions and combined operations reporting as directed by the Plant Controller
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Combines efforts with Plant Controller on ensuring an adequate internal control environment is maintained
- Leads efforts on external audit requests Organization, plant delegation.
- Fully understands the production process at each location so that any work performed for each specific location is well understood
- Fully understands the integration of all Sigma systems to trouble shoot any system issues
- Performs regular product recall tracking exercises
- Leads efforts in costing of new products or quotes / changes to existing products
- Leads efforts in costing for joint ventures related to finished product
- Ensures contract compliance with business partners related to the manufacturing of our finished product
- Performs tracking of all initiatives for cost savings
- Performs various month-end reporting for VP of Operations and Operations Controller as well as local management
- Assists in Annual Fixed Asset audit
- Assists plants in annual budgeting on an as needed basis
- Back Up for other accounting functions
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years equivalent experience in Accounting
License / Certifications
N / A
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of related accounting experience
- SAP or JD Edwards software experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITITES (KSA’s)
- Intermediate / advance knowledge of Excel
- Proficient knowledge of the MS Office Suite
- 10 Key
- Ability to communicate with others in an effective and concise manner
- Must possess strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines through prioritization of tasks
- Consistent and punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing.
Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
