Inventory Staff Accountant
The Inventory Staff Accountant is responsible for analyzing assigned accounts, preparing journal entries, preparing accounting reports, and participating in period-end closing and reporting activities for the Auto Castings business of PRA ACD and EMAC.

Responsibilities :
- Analyzes GL entries for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards.
- Reviews assigned accounts, prepares journal entries, reviews accuracy, and investigates variances.
- Assists the Senior Finance Manager with fiscal period-end closing and reporting activities.
- Distributes monthly financial reports and assists with preparation of annual financial reports.
- Reconciles physical inventory results to internal inventory records.
- Prepare inventory status reporting for weekly inventory meetings.
- Prepare and validate supplier credits.
- Support on-site physical counts of inventory.
- Assist Senior Finance Manager in preparation of annual budget, monthly forecast, and long-term planning.
- Provides monthly and quarterly accounting reports for management review.
- Responds to information requests from management, internal and external auditors.
- Process A / P and A / R functions, i.e. vendor debits and credits.
Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university.
- 3-5+ years of related experience.
- Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
- Experience with accounting and financial reporting software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Solid understanding of inventory management, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and corporate consolidation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to understand material such as specialized reports and technical procedures.
- Ability to determine the correct mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
- Ability to simultaneously prioritize and balance multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
