Tom Wood Subaru, in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a skilled Accessory Technician to join our reconditioning squad. In this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance vehicles with the latest technologies, customize interiors and exteriors, and provide top-notch service to our valued ideal candidate will possess an understanding of vehicle systems and accessory functions to ensure proper installation and operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Install automotive accessories such as audio systems, navigation systems, remote start systems, lighting, roof racks, and more.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to ensure accessories are functioning correctly after installation.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on installed accessories as needed.
- Detailing of vehicles, as well as customizing vehicle interiors and exteriors according to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret installation instructions, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns related to accessory installations.
- Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and service staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and accessories.
- Proficient with tools and equipment used in automotive accessory installation and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is Required
