Tom Wood Subaru, in Indianapolis, Indiana, is searching for an Experienced Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with hands-on experience and a strong technical background.
They possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service while staying current with the latest automotive technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
- Performing vehicle repair and / or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Communicating with the parts department and service advisors regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication
- Accurately documenting vehicle repairs / work performed on the repair order
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing support and sharing knowledge as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Hold certification(s)
- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc. a plus
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - REQUIRED
