Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to play a critical role in our fast-paced, cross-functional marketing and communications department.

This is a highly tactical position working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute a wide range of projects from fundraising campaigns to donor appreciation events to cultural programs.

This interim position will run from August through December 2024, with potential for ongoing employment to be considered.

Description

A creative, organized, and strategic thinker, the Interim Marketing Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from planning to execution to evaluation, ensuring theorganization’s marketing needs are met on time and on budget.

Essential Functions :

  • Create, manage and execute tactical marketing plans for a variety of projects from fundraising campaigns to donor appreciation events to cultural programs.
  • Collaborate with staff to create comprehensive print and digital production schedules.
  • Provide continuous feedback to stakeholders to ensure a smooth workflow, manage expectations, troubleshoot issues, and keep projects on brand, on budget and on time.
  • Assess effectiveness of projects with stakeholders.

Typical hours are Monday-Thursday 8 am-5 pm and Friday 8 am-3 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours required. The work is majority in-person with remote option available 1-2 days per week and flexible scheduling considered.

Required Education / Experience / Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in a marketing environment.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and effective time manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Exceptional customer service, with a positive attitude that inspires confidence.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design and print and digital publishing.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, acceptable driving record.

Required Technology Skills :

  • Highly proficient with project management tools (such as Basecamp).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Working knowledge of content management systems (such as WordPress).
  • Working knowledge of email marketing tools (such as Constant Contact).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Working knowledge of short video creation preferred.
  • Capabilities using a digital SLR or smartphone camera / video preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands :

This job operates in a professional office environment with pleasant working conditions, good lighting, ventilation, and moderate noise level.

Some work will be conducted offsite at event venues or community settings. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

There will be frequent computer usage which will require arm and hand dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus especially for computer usage.

On occasion it may be necessary to lift or move up to 25 lbs. Must be able to travel to community locations for offsite meetings and events, and transport event materials.

Compensation & Benefits

This is an interim position running from August - December 2024. The position pays $40 / hour and offers a hybrid, flexible schedule.
