Overview

Do you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects?

Gilbane is seeking a Project Executive to be located in Central Florida and be the client representative of the Company responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of statewide healthcare construction-management projects;

as well as mentoring multiple Project Managers and Engineers. This role will be assigned to the Central Florida Office (Orlando) and will require travel to jobsites for progress visits, meetings, etc. on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise work of project management, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc.

  • Accountable for overall financial health of projects
  • Guide teams on process and project reporting requirements
  • Manage and help guide team to solving critical issues
  • Assume overall accountability jobsite safety and quality
  • Work with Business Development to assist in pursuing new work
  • Mentor teams for career growth

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

  • BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 10-15 years in the lead role on single or multiple projects valued at $100 million or larger
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in Healthcare Construction, preferably with HCA

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong technical and communication skills are critical
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Office (preferred)
  • Willing to travel
