Associate Executive Director
Qualified candidates for this position offer :
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field required.
Two to Five years’ experience in long-term care in an administrative and supervisory capacity with demonstrated, progressive leadership / management abilities.
Must have excellent communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English, as well as the ability to make self- understood.
Must have strong working computer skills with basic professional computer software (Microsoft Office suite, Windows, etc.
and the capacity for learning new software systems quickly. Must be self-directed with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks and assignments concurrently.
Must be able to successfully lead others in an environment of complexity. Must have strong motivational skills and a high emotional intelligence quotient (EQ).

Licensure : Nursing Home Administrator licensure required and in good standing
Associate Executive Director assumes responsibility for portions of operations as delegated and indicated by management and performance of the facility : responsible for effective and efficient use of all resources in carrying out the organization’s goals and mission;
directing, evaluating and ensuring the quality and delivery of all services provided; overall performance and budget.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the management and financial operations of all services provided by the assigned departments and its employees.
- Acts as second-in-command and takes on ownership and responsibility to operate the campus in the Executive Director’s absence as needed and mentors under the Executive Director or Senior Executive Director to learn all campus operations and activity.
- Serves as the LNHA, assuming responsibility for healthcare operations of the campus to include; Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living and Memory Care service lines as applicable.
- Responsible to develop, implement and continually update key management process, procedures and best practices to service lines assigned.
- Manages annual operating budgets for assigned areas, maintains budgeted occupancy, revenues, operating expenses; attends financial and operations meetings.
- Responsible for and takes the lead on maintaining satisfactory licensure and certification standards applicable throughout community.
Ensures substantial compliance with all applicable regulations, accreditation, licensure, or insurance requirements that facilities are bound to.
- Leads efforts to ensure that there is an atmosphere conducive to quality of life and quality of care and the residents’ lives will be meaningful, happy, healthful, and secure throughout the community.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans, follow up on changes and other communication, problem-solve, receive staff support and in- service education.
- Participates in internal and external community groups and activities that promote the campus and services.
- Oversees and ensures programs / services for the community are developed and maintained based on the resident needs and the community’s ability to provide.
- Actively engages in internal community resident / family / employee meetings and events.
- Responsible for ensuring accountability of the department leaders and ensuring a working environment that consistently encourages staff development including the supervision, training, evaluation, and education / corrective action of all managers / staff in accordance with the initiatives and core values of the organization.
- Reviews community performance appraisals for consistency with corporate compensation philosophy and Board approved operating budget.
- Ensures departmental scheduling (at the facility level) is fair, consistent, and budget compliant.
- Leads as the champion of the employee satisfaction and engagement for the community.
