ROLESUMMARY :
The ManufacturingPurchasing Specialist is responsible for daytoday procuringmaterials components and services essential for the manufacturingprocess.
This role involves negotiating prices managing purchaseorders and ensuring timely delivery for a targeted set of material / component categories.
They will collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to optimize purchasing processes reduce costs and maintaininventory levels within their purchasingscope.
ESSENTIALJOBRESPONSIBILITIES :

- Monitorsupplier performance resolving issues and building strongrelationships
- Collaboratewith production planning to ensure timely delivery of materials andcomponents
- Identifycostsaving opportunities through supplier negotiation and processimprovement
- OptimizeMRP parameters to minimize costs and inventory for targetedcomponentcategories
- Maintainaccurate records of purchasing activities and supplier performancedeveloping supplier improvement plans wherenecessary
- Ensurecompliance with company purchasing policies andprocedures
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Proventrack record of purchasing improving availability while reducinginventory
- Successfuldevelopment of material / component forecasts using available(imperfect) data

- Abilityto work independently and as part of ateam
EDUCATIONANDEXPERIENCE :
- Minimumof 3 years of experience in purchasing inventory coordination orsimilar roles in a manufacturingenvironment
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required ociate’s degree insupply chain management or vocational training in similar fieldpreferred
- Knowledgeof lean manufacturing principles aplus
COMPUTERSS :
- Strongworking proficiency with applicable software such asMSOffice
- Strongworking proficiency with ERP systems(NetSuite)
