The Territory Account Manager works directly with representatives, contractors, and other external and internal stakeholders to maximize sales volume.
This is an individual contributor role with 50% travel within assigned territory.
The territory includes TN, KY, WI, MN, IA, NE, OH, and Chicago metro.
This position is more about managing relationships than pure sales. You will be visiting wholesalers to make sure they are recommending company products to the Architectural firms, building code people (Cities with projects who can influence which products to bid into projects).
Qualifications :
Technical knowledge of products related to airflow, space optimization, and customized solutions.
3-15 years of experience in a sales development or technical support role, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industries.
A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with contractors, representatives, and distributors.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with a proven track record of executing projects effectively.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities :
Secure quotations for the sale of large projects (orders) through representatives and distributors of the Company's products.
Evaluate customer orders and provide recommendations for the most efficient product use regarding application, space, and airflow, delivering customized solutions that meet customer needs.
Offer technical and sales support for products, developing strong brand awareness among customers and clients.
Assist customers with submittals and Bill of Material (BOM) quotations and follow up on previous estimates provided by the estimating department.
Actively grow awareness of market trends and competitor activities, communicating findings to the Business Development Manager.
Maintain and develop a competitor database, including competitor quotes, marketing strategies, rep agency information, and sales channels (e.g., internet).
Attend trade shows and sales conferences, staying informed on market conditions, business trends, and industry developments.
Provide technical support for products and software, building customer knowledge and trust in the product line.
Submit product orders, verify material lists for accuracy, and ensure delivery schedules meet customer needs, addressing any order entry, shipping, or product damage issues that arise.
Obtain building blueprints and submit them to the takeoff department for bid preparation.
Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations to engineers, rep agencies, contractors, and building owners for product offerings and sales purposes.
Conduct product demonstrations with these presentations to showcase technical capabilities and product benefits.
