What you will be doing :
- Validate complex battery systems and components including structural, thermal, electro-mechanical components (Shaker tests, mechanical validation test sequences, 1 battery abuse testing, IP (immersion production) testing, EMI / EMC compliance, emissions etc.)
- Create test reports
- Review test findings along with potential solutions
- Generating needed artifacts per the engineering phase
- Drive best validation practices
- 10% - 25% time traveling to test sites
What you'll need to be successful :
Essential :
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or other relevant technical disciplines.
- System and Validation engineering experience with strong technical background on product validation.
- Proven experience with problem solving, definition and execution of validation tests, data analysis and creation of test reports.
- Open-minded, team focused, have an innovative spirit, self-motivating, and think with a physics-based mindset to solving technical problems, while being able to balance cost and timing.
- 2 plus years of experience
- Humble, teachable, and solve their own problems
- Effective and collaborative team player
- Good communicator - written and verbal
- MS office suit solid knowledge is required.
- Great collaborator
Preferred :
- Battery EV vehicle and systems
- Product Safety and Compliance experience
- Creo Schematics experience
- PDM Windchill or Polarion experience
- Experience with troubleshooting engine or vehicle electrical systems
