The at the seeks to hire one-twotenurestreaminvestigatorsattherank of AssistantProfessortojoinamultidisciplinaryteamfocusedonunderstandingthe underlying mechanisms involved in the etiology of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
We are interested in applications from candidates who are investigating the molecular, cellular, and, especially, neuroimmunological mechanisms involved in AD initiation and progression.
The successful candidate will join a thriving, collegial, and supportive research environment that is rich with core facilities, robust cross-disciplinary graduate training programs (including joint graduate programs with Carnegie Mellon University) and broad expertise in AD and related dementias.
Pitt has a state-of-the-art preclinical nonhuman primate facility with genetically engineered AD marmosets as part of a large marmoset colony to support translational research.
