Stolfus & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Transportation Engineering EIT with 0-5 years of Civil Engineering experience for our Greenwood Village, CO office.

The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and modelling transportation projects throughout Colorado.
- Designs transportation facilities including interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, intersections, and multimodal facilities
- Prepares studies, reports, plans, and construction packages for a wide variety of transportation projects.
- Position requires professional judgment on details of work and in application of standard engineering theories, principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria in executing a series of tasks with some variability.
- Position requires ability to exercise initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas of responsibility.
- Prepares working drawings, details, layouts, quantity calculations, geometric evaluations, and work products.
- Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments as required.
- Must be capable of performing independent design tasks and organizing work while receiving limited supervision after receiving initial instructions.
- Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments of experienced level person.
- May be assisted by other EITs.
- May coordinate with the work of others for specific assignments.
- Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.
- Performs field observation work when necessary.
- Some travel may be required.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited school.
- Successful completion of Fundamental of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with MicroStation OpenRoads (ORD) or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to summarize technical information into accessible forms.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
- A desire to grow personally and professionally while working in a team environment to make Colorado’s transportation system safer and improve quality of life for users while meeting our client’s needs.
- This position requires the ability to sit / stand for extended periods at a computer workstation. Occasional travel to client facilities and project sites require ability to climb ladders, inspect and be physically mobile in and around client construction sites.
