Recreation Specialist
The City of Laguna Beach is seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented individual to fill our position of Recreation Specialist.
This is an hourly / part-time position. Under direct supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, you will assist with the organization, scheduling, and coordination of various activities throughout the year.

When you’ll work : Primarily evenings and weekends, with the possibility of additional daytime hours as needed.

Examples of Duties
What you'll do :
- Answer questions from the public and provide information to individuals and groups regarding program offerings and coordination of services.
- Manage facility opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with various sports programs.
- Distribute and collect program evaluations.
- Order, maintain, and inventory program supplies.
- Perform related work as assigned.
Recreation Specialist candidates will be hired under the classification of Senior Community Services Coordinator Part Time.

Qualifications :
Any combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to effectively and successfully perform the duties of the position is considered qualifying.
A typical combination is as follows :
Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience : Must possess the ability to work compatibly and effectively with others encountered in the performance of duties;
must possess the ability to follow oral instructions and adhere to department procedures and safe work practices.
License / Certificate Requirements : Due to the performance of some duties, a valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record is required.
