The Auburn University Onboarding Center provides a positive and welcoming experience for new employees, and facilitates processes such as new hire paperwork, employment eligibility verification, new hire orientation, issuing employee ID cards, and guiding campus partners as they hire new employees.

The TES Administrative Support Assistant will act as the first point of contact and assistance for visitors and callers who are seeking services of the Onboarding Center at Auburn University.

This individual will coordinate activities of the onboarding specialists, ensuring an inviting, welcoming, and secure environment for visitors and staff, and maintain inventory and supplies of the center. About TES Employment :

Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university.

TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus.

Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being :

  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
  • Assistance with special projects
  • Seasonal work
  • Emergencies

Essential Functions What You’ll Do :

  • Greets all visitors upon entry to the onboarding center. Receives and routes visitors to the various specialists, monitors those entering the department for security purposes and assists visitors with questions.
  • May schedule appointments, direct visitors with initial information in preparation of onboarding visit and other activities as included in the center.
  • Maintains supplies and materials and assembles welcome bags and other materials for visitors.
  • Advises staff, students, administrators, affiliates, and visitors of standard policies or procedures.
  • Maintains the onboarding center office appearance by ensuring a professional environment that is pleasing for visitors of the center.
  • Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, etc.
  • Provides coordination and administrative support throughout the onboarding center as needed.

Minimum Qualifications What We Need From You :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of office support or customer service experience OR a degree to substitute for experience.
