This role will be hybrid, based out of one of our US offices in either NYC, Ridgefield Park, NJ, Mendota Heights, MN, or Milwaukee, WI
Role Summary
- Reporting to the UK based Reward Director, the purpose of this role is to drive and deliver a commercial, customer focused, pro-active and solutions focused specialist reward service to the business and colleagues.
- The US Compensation Manager is responsible for identifying, implementing and maintaining reward structures to support the strategic direction of the business.
These activities and other project work have a global impact (Equiniti has colleagues located in the UK, USA, India, the Netherlands and South Africa).
- Acts as key contact with all third-party compensation and benefits vendors.
- The role is therefore responsible for providing expert compensation advice, support & data and ensuring relevant statutory compliance, with a primary focus on EQ's US business and colleagues.
Core Duties / Responsibilities
Support the Reward Director alongside the global Reward Team to deliver EQ's Reward agenda. This includes items such as EQ's annual and standard remuneration processes (e.
g. Salary Review, Bonus, Long Term Incentive Plans, etc), ensuring they are delivered accurately and within required timeframes.
To include the calculation, production and validation of supporting data and the provision of modelling and analysis to aid decision making.
- Continually manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the overall organization design, encompassing job evaluation / benchmarking and grading structures (job profiles).
- Support the Reward Director in designing, developing and implementing EQ's Total Reward plan including compensation, bonus, commission plans, health / welfare benefits, 401k, LTIP, etc.
- Work with the US HR Team, and the Global Head of Reward to integrate EQ US and AST total reward offerings in North America, in concert with the US Benefits Specialist.
- Support the business by designing and running suitable Commission Plans that drive appropriate behaviors and outcomes for the business.
- Continually listen to colleagues and understand impact of the reward plan for all.
- Ensure that colleagues are treated fairly and accurately in all our compensation-focused reward processes and that they are clear, easy to follow and well communicated.
- Leverage technology and look for ways to simplify our processes so the team can operate more efficiently (e.g. through Workday).
- Deliver knowledge on market and competitor remuneration and advise accordingly.
- Maximize the application of compensation tools to support business initiatives / pay strategies.
- Lead and work alongside the wider Global Reward team on defined projects, reporting and analysis.
- Scan and keep abreast of emerging Reward trends and practices.
- Lead merger & integration analysis and due diligence.
- Occasional travel to other US offices.
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes
The successful candidate will be able demonstrate the following :
- Proven Compensation experience; analyzing and interpreting data and using communication skills to reliably inform business decisions.
- Sound knowledge of incentive structures, benefits, grading, pay structures, pensions, pay and related legislation.
- Experience with benchmarking and global compensation data (e.g. WTW / Hay / Mercer).
- Highly commercial, collaborative, engaging and credible, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
- Demonstrable project management skills, and experience of managing multiple reward programs and projects, with significant budgetary management in a complex global environment.
- A demonstrable track record of building strong influential relationships, establishing yourself as a trusted partner and expert in compensation and benefits at EQ.
- Highly proficient in the use of Excel (able to build and run complex models).
- Broad knowledge of HR systems.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data, and to present, analyze and propose recommendations clearly.
Compensation
$115,000-130,000 per year
