RESEARCH SCIENTIST - Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as a designer / inventor for an organization engaged in the delivery of global network service solutions for the maritime wireless cellular industry.
Analyze problems throughout our operations and projects to develop solutions involving computer and hardware software to improve cellular services on Cruise Ships.
Analyze Space Satellite sector network performance problems to address potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities, using working knowledge of the following trade tool(s) : Live Action software and Ericsson Network IQ (ENIQ).
Assign and oversee implementation of tasks to research and analyze alternative transport solutions to improve throughput and reduce costs as well as potential threats to the business by emerging technologies in the Space / cellular sector.
Conduct logical analyses of business, scientific, engineering, and other technical problems, formulating mathematical models of problems for solution by computers.
Apply theoretical expertise and innovation to create, design, and apply new or improved technologies and security measures using working knowledge of the following trade tool(s) : Cisco ISE, Duo Multi Factor Authentication tool, Tacacs, Secure Firewall Management Center, Secure Firewall, Umbrella, and Secure Endpoints.
REQS : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering and 5 yrs of exp in the job or in Network Design Engineering positions dealing with delivery of solutions for the maritime wireless cellular industry.
