We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in Raynham, Massachusetts. This role is centered around providing top-notch customer service in a healthcare setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling patient calls, managing appointments, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient interactions.

Responsibilities :

  • Receive and manage incoming calls from patients, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally
  • Carefully document all patient communications, including requests for prescription refills, lab and test results, radiology and imaging reports, and referrals
  • Utilize the EHR System and Allscripts for efficient patient record keeping
  • Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments using computer-based systems
  • Handle insurance referrals and verifications as necessary
  • Maintain a high level of customer service, demonstrating empathy and understanding to patient concerns and requests
  • Work comfortably in a sitting position for extended periods, managing high call volumes
  • Ensure all patient records and interactions are kept confidential and secure
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in the healthcare facility
  • Continuously develop and improve customer service skills to enhance patient experience
  • Proficiency in using Allscripts and EHR SYSTEM for patient management
  • Ability to promptly answer and manage inbound calls, ensuring efficient customer service
  • Experience in checking patients in and out of the facility
  • Strong documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with insurance referrals and verification processes
  • Capability to schedule patient appointments effectively and accurately
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on patient satisfaction
  • Experience in a call center environment, particularly in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and medical staff.
