This position contributes successfully to our operations because you will : Serve as primary contact for internal team members and external plan vendors and third-party administrators including our broker / consultant.
- Provide excellent customer service support to our external and internal customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
- Coordinate daily benefits processing : Handle enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims.
- Maintain wellness program such as quarterly challenge, monthly lunch and learns, tracking and ensuring accuracy of wellness information from
- Coordinate and process 401k requests such as rollovers, QDROS, QMCSOs, distributions, loans, hardships and assist with annual compliance testing and filings.
- Maintain ACA system including timely filing and distribution of 1095 / 1094c's
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
- Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records. Working closely with the payroll administrator to ensure accurate
- Oversee and process monthly billings and process payments timely.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes into SOPs
- Design and distribute materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to divisions and local HR teams.
- Drive and encourage engagement of our company wellness program working close with our Nurse.
- Travel as needed for events such as open enrollments to our divisions or branches.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Qualifications and Skills)
To be a successful benefits administrator you will need :
- Bachelor's degree in HR Management or related field or 3-5 years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experience
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience with HRIS and benefits database (UKG Pro)
- Knowledge of benefits and contract language.
- Project and team management / leadership skills and experience.
- Must be detail orientated
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefit programs, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, and DOL requirements
