New Stack Ventures is seeking a Full-Time Analyst. This individual will be responsible for assisting the General Partner and his team with the following :

- Assisting the General Partner with all aspects of qualification and targeting in fundraising efforts
- Dealflow evaluation
- Applying pre-filters, evaluation criteria and meeting with founders
- Series A strategy for Portco’s
- Creation of next round fundraising strategy for our investments
- Deal Management
- Quarterbacking the deal process
- Review, edit and supplement deal investment thesis
- Work with investment partners, lawyers, AngelList, Assure and syndicate members during the startup investment process
The candidate will not be reviewing business plans / pitch decks exclusively. The candidate will have exposure to all aspects of a firm : branding, sourcing, raising and investing.
Prospective candidates should have the following characteristics :
- High-interest in Venture Capital
- Requires little oversight, hand-holding
- High emotional intelligence
- Comfortable connecting with partners over email and phone
- Strong networking and sales skills
Candidates need not have a financial, investment banking or private equity background. All backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
