WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE INCLUDE?
- Outside sales : gathering information for the estimating team.
- Relationship development with perspective clients
- Networking with commercial and industrial markets (property management groups, facility maintenance managers, project sales direct to owners of facility’s and or businesses, as well new business with general contractors).
- Following up on and nurturing provided leads.
- Time spent meeting with clients.
- Weekly meeting with sales team in person and or virtual (requirement of one meeting per month in person with the team)
- Remote functioning as needed for effective results
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THIS ROLE
This position can be expected to function like most business development and or sales professionals as a key team member.
- Seeking business opportunities using three major approaches :
- An internal lead (this could be a referral or internet request for our services).
- A company determined target. (a new prospective client that matches the profile of existing clients and or existing client that requires relationship-based nurturing).
- A self-generated lead from the salesperson’s own development.
- Developing the bid
- Gather all relevant information for the estimating team to produce a project cost.
- Closing the deal
- Presents the project proposal and works to close the deal.
- Synergizing the client’s needs, our terms, and specific detail for individual projects.
- Handoff
- Turning over the project to our operations team. Taking the time to educate our team on the client’s specific needs. Describing what a great job looks like from the client’s perspective.
- Close out
- Follow up with the client for feedback and continued relationship building.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Excellent presentation skills
- computer skills
- At least 3 years of sales experience
