POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator (HRPC) is responsible for the day-to-day coordinationof human resources, recruiting, staffing, benefits, and payroll functions at the care center.
Assignedtasks will vary depending on location size and structure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of new team members by posting requisitions,reviewing and moving candidates through the applicant tracking system, scheduling andconducting interviews, extending offers, and completing new hire paperwork.
- Completes payroll duties, including reviewing time clock entries, collecting time clock edits,entering data into the payroll system, processing PTO / sick time, tracking attendance, andgenerating payroll reports.
- Processes payroll close and ensures payroll hours are recorded accurately and timely.
- Maintains personnel and resident files in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, andPrestige policy and procedure.
Tracks credentials and ensures completion of employment-relatedrequirements.
- Coordinates onboarding of new team members, including day one orientation, scheduling oforientation shifts, monitoring the completion of required training and appropriate certifications,and supporting general orientation.
- Assists in coordination of scheduling nursing staff to ensure adequate staffing levels to meetresident care needs. Provides on-call support after hours and on weekends to respond toimmediate staffing needs.
- Coordinates time-off and vacation requests. Assists with tracking attendance per Prestige policyand Federal and State laws.
- Assists in the implementation of company-wide human resources programs and initiatives,including team member appreciation and engagement programs.
- Answers employee relations questions and reaches out to appropriate human resourcesrepresentative.
- Acts as a benefit ambassador by assisting with open enrollment and providing education onbenefit offerings. Acts as first point of contact for leave of absence requests and team memberbenefit questions.
- Participates as part of the leadership team by actively contributing in problem solving, decisionmaking, center and company-wide initiatives and attending leadership team meetings asrequested.
- Assists with business office tasks as assigned. Duties may include, but are not limited to, assistingwith resident trust, petty cash, and accounts payable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Two years’ experience working in a business office or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledgeand skills. Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for work experience.
Human Resource and Payrollexperience strongly preferred. Experience with Payroll system and Applicant Tracking System isbeneficial.
Ability to work independently to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
EDUCATION
Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education,training, and experience.
Bachelor’s in business administration, Human Resource or related fieldpreferred.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has indirect supervisory responsibilities.
Direct supervisory responsibilities will varydepending on the location size and structure. May supervise staffing coordinator.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively, in English, with residents, visitors, and staff. Good written and oralcommunication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to maintain, understand, and review all reports and records. Ability to add, subtract, multiply,and divide simple numbers.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to accurately assess, troubleshoot, and problem-solve needs and evaluate results.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily works in an office setting in skilled nursing center
