Overview :
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within the government contracting sector.
This role requires proficiency in financial software, a deep understanding of US GAAP, and extensive experience with various contract types.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and government contracting regulations, including Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records using QuickBooks, Deltek Costpoint software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Handle various contract types, including Fixed-Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), and Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF).
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Assist with month-end closes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial planning and analysis activities.
- Ensure proper allocation and tracking of expenses related to Federal Contracts.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial operations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Financial Controller or in a similar accounting role within the government contracting sector.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Concur software is crucial.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal contract accounting, including experience with various contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF).
- Knowledge of Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Department of Defense (DoD) policies.
- Exceptional aptitude for numbers and a commitment to accuracy.
