Summary of Position :
The Creative Photography & Video Producer will be responsible for efficiently leading all details involved in the production of brand photo and video shoots across multiple brands within the company portfolio and across all distribution channels.
This role collaborates cross functionally with key partners to ensure timelines and budgets are met, product priorities are addressed, and creative team vision is supported.
This role requires strong project manager skills with an elevated aesthetic, who sees both the big picture and is dedicated to details.
Principle Accountabilities :
- Project manage brand photo and video shoot productions within timeline and budget from pre- production to post production. This includes :
- Generate and manage shot lists, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Initiate and facilitate meetings to extract key information such as : vision for the overall direction of the photo shoot, identifying key crew members and model specs.
- Organize, facilitate, and lead production meetings from preliminary meetings with creative team and external vendors to final pre-production meeting
- Act as central hub of communication between internal creative team and external production vendors, as well as between creative team and cross-functional departments
- Create and distribute day-of-shoot schedule
- Oversee retouching and editing timelines
- Identify inefficient workflows and provide solutions to streamline.
- Identify, communicate, and evolve best practices, standards, and workflows for pre-production, day-of, and post-production
- Provide usage terms and termination dates of specific image and video asset requests from cross-departmental team members
- Collaborate cross functionally across departments and internal stakeholders to ensure product, marketing, brand, and business priorities are met.
- Attend all cross functional campaign meetings to address photoshoot needs
- If using influencer as main talent, work with Influencer team and Brand Managers to determine the level of influencer buy-in in order to establish appropriate workflow for pre and post-production.
- Partner with cross-functional / departmental team members to understand their asset requests and to determine what can and cannot be captured on the campaign shoot.
- Collaborate with internal creative team partners to ensure creative vision is supported. (20%)
- Ensure all necessary information relating to the creative is received from the Art Directors : stills lighting, sets, backgrounds, props, wardrobe / accessories, hair, nails, video direction on look / feel (lighting, music).
- Create and distribute documents / templates to Art Directors to populate specific creative needs for each shoot.
- Schedule with Art Directors to be on set during shoot and provide timely shot input.
- Facilitate and coordinate selects process with Art Directors and Cross Functional partners to ensure final selects are made on time.
- Acquire product from sourcing, DC, PD, etc. to be used in photo and video shoots.
- Ensure all necessary product is documented and brought to / from campaign photo shoots
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners, including model agencies, photographers, and influencers.
- Facilitate and execute any casting needs interpret the needs from Brand, Creative and Director of Global Artistry to solidify model specs, procure model packages, facilitate the review of packages, and booking models
- Source multiple vendor options (availability, placing holds, releasing and confirming vendors)
- Negotiate vendor contract.
- Book crew photographers, digital techs, photo assistants, hair stylists, models, wardrobe stylists, production assistants and studio, photo / video EQ rentals, and catering
- Customize model releases per usage specification and project.
- Distribute model releases, crew releases and NDAs to agencies / vendors for signatures and file.
- Obtain COIs, permits, and location releases as needed.
- Forecast shoot calendar, including concept development and post production; determine budgets, billing, and invoice procedure.
- Create and manage campaign estimates / actuals (flagging any potential overages)
- Submit and track advances and invoices for payment.
- Attend monthly budget meetings
- Attend all campaign shoots to ensure smooth execution and priorities are met
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise on set.
- Identify, field, prioritize and provide clarity on last minute requests and changes to either what is being produced on set and / or additional deliverable requests and identifying if requests / changes are within scope and budget.
Key Working Relationships :
Collaborate with the Creative team, such as Art Directors and Post-Producer, and with cross-functional team members, such as Brand, Marketing, Social, Retail, and Wholesale teams.
Required Skills & Experience :
- Bachelors degree preferred in any related discipline.
- 3-5 years working in production and / or creative operations, on-set production, and production management
- Wide knowledge of photography production practices and knowledge of photography market
- Strong attention to detail, extremely organized, able to prioritize and solve problems.
- Ability to plan multiple shoots simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate across a wide range of partners and creative disciplines.
- Experience working with Influencers preferred.
Travel Requirements :
Travel to all product shoots (20%)*
