Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Regional Manager, Oncology Clinical Educators, Hematology in the Northeast region.
In this exciting role, the Regional Manager of Oncology Clinical Educators (OCEs) Hematology North East will lead and manage a field-based, regional team of OCEs.
The Northeast Region will include : MI, IN, OH, PA, NJ, DE, NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME.
Key Job Responsibilities include :
- Lead a team of Oncology Clinical Educators (OCEs) to provide on-label, company approved education to Oncology Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Pharmacists and Allied Health Care professionals (AHPs) in assigned accounts and achieve / exceed educational goals.
- Conduct routine team field visits and 1 : 1 meetings, providing in-person field coaching, observation, evaluating and directing educational and patient support initiatives.
- Direct OCEs in the identification of treatment sites that can benefit from clinical education on Janssen’s Oncology portfolio.
- Ensure each OCE territory plan is strategic, up to date and actionable.
- Collaborate on development of performance goals and objectives at all levels and appropriate measures to ensure achievement.
- Work with Leadership to define and establish appropriate behaviors and actions that will lead to improved Hematology / Oncology education for both HCPs and patients across the nation.
- Function as the primary liaison between the field-based OCE team and sales / marketing leadership.
- Responsible for educational goal attainment and budget management.
- Serve as key OCE management liaison related to specific brand strategy.
- Lead creation and implementation of OCE educational and field enablement strategies for the entire OCE Team.
- Provide frequent, ongoing performance feedback to all direct reports and foster a team-oriented, supportive working environment.
- Ensure that team functions are according to the business plan and company directives.
- Provide oversight responsibility for team’s training and development, ensuring appropriate training on and execution of educational initiatives and other permissible field activities.
- Manage the team through special projects and cross-functional support activities.
- Recruit, select and hire a qualified and diverse workforce for the regional OCE team.
- Provide career and succession planning in support of staff reaching their highest potential.
- Responsible for timely completion of administrative duties, including assessment and approval of expense reports, preparation and communication of team metric reports, among others.
- Co-lead the communication of OCE team achievement updates to appropriate internal partners and levels of management.
- Participate in business planning activities as necessary across the various brands.
- Lead the creation / implementation of OCE field collaborative strategies to ensure compliant partnership with other customer-facing teams (e.
g., sales, MSLs, partner companies).
- Ensure effective and efficient collection and distribution of clinical insights to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Participate and / or lead cross-functional / company initiatives.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Active RN license or Advanced Practice Nursing degree required.
- 8 years of work experience required.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry or clinical experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical industry or relevant people management experience or have enrolled in or completed a J&J Management Development program required.
- Oncology and / or Hematology experience preferred.
- Experience with specialty products (preferably Oncology and / or infusion) preferred.
- Experience as an oncology educator preferred.
- Certification as an oncology nurse preferred (i.e., OCN, AOCN, AOCNP, etc.).
- Knowledge and / or experience with direct to patient education initiatives preferred.
- Demonstration of a passion to motivate and lead high-performing teams.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and work cross-functionally.
- Demonstration of excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
- Residence in, or willingness to relocate to the geography is required.
- Ability to travel locally and overnight 50-75% required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to schedule individual work-related travel (air, hotel, rental car as needed).
- Ability to work evening hours as required.
The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
