Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Sales Manager to lead our sales team. The General Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales department, developing effective sales strategies, and ensuring that the team meets or exceeds sales goals while providing outstanding customer service.

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing plans to drive sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Ensure a superior customer experience by overseeing the sales process, addressing customer inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Recruit, train, and develop sales staff, providing coaching and performance feedback to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure an optimal selection of vehicles that meet customer demands and market trends.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and financial data to ensure department profitability and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and financial institutions to support business growth and success.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt strategies accordingly.

What we look for

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or General Sales Manager in the automotive industry, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive sales processes, customer relationship management, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and negotiate deals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make strategic decisions.
  • A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
