Job Summary
The Deposit Operations Specialist is a member of the back-office Deposit Operations group, which consists of four support teams : File Maintenance, Quality Control, Transaction, and Call Center.
Team members are often cross-trained, and positions can be transitioned fairly easily between teams. As part of the Quality team, the Specialist will monitor accounts to ensure accuracy and adherence to audit standards, providing objective and fair information on policy compliance and data entry accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Review account maintenance related to source input and / or accuracy for Customer / CIF file maintenance if the CIF record pertains to Deposit, Savings, Time, Club, and Box Accounts (all except loans, which are handled in Credit / Loan Admin).
- Perform relationship file maintenance (i.e., type of ownership, type of statement, etc.) on the account types mentioned above, including changes to existing accounts and the addition of new accounts to the system.
- Review parameter changes for source input and / or authorized changes.
- Complete all required training.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of bank operations experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Skill and Knowledge Requirements :
- Strong customer contact skills, including but not limited to excellent communication skills, professionalism, and poise when responding to a variety of situations.
- Aptitude for problem-solving, excellent reasoning skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality of the bank's records and customer transactions.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to multitask.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products.
Physical / Sensory Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; reach with hands and arms;
and occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- May be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Regularly required to use computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
