General Scope
The Sr. Sales Director is responsible for the leadership, management, and strategy development for the MINC Beverage and Confection Segments in support of our Must Win Initiative CHUSA.
The Sr Director of Sales will be responsible for driving sales performance, new logo acquisition, pipeline development, and management across a team of 3-5 sales and business development professionals.
This individual interacts with all internal departments and external customers and vendors. Key Competencies : business development, decision making, coaching and mentoring, marketing, project and time management, communication and presentation skills.
The Sr Director of Sales must be an adaptable, growth catalyst skilled in generating new business with existing customers and drawing new logos to the Mane Organization.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and manage sales force primarily dedicated toward driving growth within our beverage and confection segments.
- Work side by side with sales leaders to uncover and define unmet customer needs across the existing account base; develop new prospect accounts aligned with category strategies.
- Assist in the creation of account strategies that leverage and exploit Mane value propositions against unmet customer needs.
- Travel with the sales team, support strategy execution, contribute to the development of the pipeline, provide feedback and coaching.
- Support and guide the sales team on the execution of legal agreements, NDA’s, core-listings, etc.
- Consistently monitor talent pipeline and upgrade as needed to ensure MINC has the right talent to deliver our growth ambition.
- Assist SVP Commercial to develop long-term growth strategies that meet both the top and bottom-line objectives in line with MWI CHUSA.
- Assist SVP Commercial and Leadership team expand our ecosystem and reach into the beverage space. Help define future investment in our value chain needed to capture significantly more share of the beverage segment.
Education And Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business / Marketing, Engineering, Communications, or a related field. Preference given to a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Food Science.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Minimum of ten (10) plus years of Account Management, including experience with a major consumer products company and / or ingredient supplier.
Prior leadership of a Sales Team is preferred.
- Knowledge of the flavor and fragrance industry is preferred.
- Ability to present MINC products to our internal and external customers while maintaining relationships with all customers.
