About this opportunity

MillerKnoll's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their careers. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

As an ML / AI Engineering intern, you'll gain hands-on experience working on real-world machine learning and generative AI projects, contributing to impactful solutions that serve the business. You'll collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to prototype, test, and support AI / ML models and applications.

What You'll Do

You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, influence others, and be an owner every day as you...

• Assist in designing, training, and evaluating machine learning, deep learning, and LLM-based models.
• Contribute to developing GenAI-powered applications using modern tools and frameworks.
• Support the team in implementing MLOps / LLMOps practices such as version control, experiment tracking, and model monitoring.
• Help build and maintain data pipelines and preprocessing workflows for training and evaluation.
• Prototype and test new AI / ML approaches to validate feasibility.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to integrate models into APIs or user-facing tools.
• Document code, workflows, and findings for knowledge sharing.
