This company is one of the top 5 producers in their industry in the US and has recently undergone a significant expansion with new operations across the country.
As the Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of all safety policies, practices, and programs at the facility.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing all safety regulations, both Federal and State, and promoting a culture of safety among all employees.
We are seeking a candidate who is bilingual in Spanish and English and has at least 2 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.
You will work closely with facility and corporate management to support and implement companywide safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment for all.
Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with all Federal and State health and safety standards
- Promote a culture of safety as a core value of the company
- Maintain documentation and records of inspections, training, and corrective actions
- Conduct regular safety trainings for facility employees
- Investigate accidents and identify root causes to develop plans for prevention
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of safety experience, preferably in food or related manufacturing
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with teams and drive safety initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- 30 Hour OSHA for General Industry Certificate
- Experience working with regulatory agencies (OSHA, State programs, etc.)
Compensation and Benefits :
Competitive base salary of $70,000 - $80,000
