Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition and Management Department is currently recruiting a Student HR Recruitment Specialist to join their team of professionals.
- Serve as liaison between prospective and current employees and the Recruiters, responding to all incoming calls to the department and providing answers to routine and complex questions as they relate to the pre-employment clearances and onboarding process.
- Assist prospective employees in troubleshooting the submission of their applications through the careers site using the University Applicant Tracking System.
- Assist HR Manager with implementing the pre-employment requirements request for Federal Work Study (FWS) and Temporary candidates.
- Assist the HR Manager with onboarding FWS and Temporary candidates by creating and posting official offer letters.
- Assist the HR Manager with updating FWS job openings each academic year.
- Support staff with overall recruitment and onboarding process and events sponsored by the Division.
- Attend FIU Service Excellence trainings.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.
Customer service knowledge
Ability to work in a team setting.
Basic level of Microsoft Word.
None to basic Microsoft Excel.
Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
Desired Qualifications
- A current Human Resources Management student or a student in a related field.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Possess a high sense of responsibility and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
- Knowledge of PC operations and specialized software programs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally, and in writing.
- Ability to solve problems independently.
- Organizational and time-management skills.
Work Schedule
20 hours per week between 9 : 00AM-5 : 00PM
Advertised Salary
$12.00 / hour
