Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Government Compliance Analyst, Senior - RCO to join our team at Bolling AFB Washington, D.C.
Government Compliance Analyst RCO
Individual will be key member of a team performing DoD Agency Financial Statements Audit
readiness and remediation services to the United States Government. Position will entail
monitoring and resolving audit findings, developing, and presenting approaches / methods to
refine and implement critical business processes, and identifying solutions to satisfy compliance
with the continually changing Federal Government accounting regulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Perform analysis and research on complex accounting procedures / rules for property and Assets
- Develop and perform presentations on findings and recommendations on asset special projects
- Work with the CFO Team to understand audit findings and assess effect on the business processes
- Recommend process improvements for existing business operations focusing on asset accounting and help drive the implementation of the new and improved process
- Coordinate business process activities with the Contractor CFO Team, Operations Team, and the Government Program Management
- Ensures compliance with government laws and performs internal operational reviews and works under policies and procedures as necessary to ensure continued compliance
- May act as liaison and interface for reviews and audits
- Demonstrates knowledge of Government compliance issues, specifically related to FAR / DAR regulations and DoDFMR regulations
- Leads PP&E audit remediation activities, such as developing / updating / reviewing process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts), and developing / implementing corrective action plans to address gaps in preparation for a financial statement audit.
- Provides targeted area support based on Component (e.g., working capital fund audit readiness, etc.).
- Creates and delivers client work products in accordance with project plans.
- Applies federal accounting, financial management, and audit knowledge / expertise when developing solutions and providing recommendations to client.
- Coordinates property control activities to ensure continual accountability of Govt or associate contractor property in accordance with applicable Govt Regulations or organization policies / procedures.
- Establishing Positive Working Relationships : Builds positive and stable working relationships internally and externally while maintaining oversight of contractor Property Administrator’s and / or the associate contractor representatives who have responsibility for property in their possession.
- Customer Property Tracking, Monitoring, Usage & Accounting : Tracks, monitors and reports the status and usage of all accountable property, Government Furnished, Government Off the Shelf (GOTS), Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS), Life Safety Backbone and consumable products in accordance with Federal Regulations and / or Customer requirements.
- Reporting, Documentation & Compliance : Prepares required reports and documents in compliance with Govt Regulations, associate contractor requirements and organization policies / procedures.
- Inventories : Conducts or audits periodic inventories and maintains records in accordance with relevant Govt Regulations, associate contractor requirements and organization policies / procedures.
- Disposition : Coordinates activities related to the disposition of accountable and consumable products.
- Difficulty of Assignments : Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Minimum Qualifications :
- 5+ years in experience in federal accounting and business processes with experience in auditing and / or audit remediation a plus
- 4-year degree
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Able to travel within the organizational area of responsibility (35% travel)
- Possess ability to interact with multiple personnel to resolve issues and answer questions
- Develop and perform briefings for Government Program Management
- Be flexible and display ability to move to tasks as assigned and quickly gain understanding of the effort required
Security Clearance Requirements :
Must have a current / active TS / SCI Clearance
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
The projected compensation range for this position is $114,100-$190,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary / hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
